Shaurya Foundation Trust (SFT) is an NGO for neurodiverse adults that works towards not just providing education to people with special needs but also skilling them and enabling them to earn a livelihood through dignified employment. I respect their belief, I resonate to the fact that it is every individual’s absolute right to be able to work and earn a living, and neurodiverse adults cannot be denied of this basic right. I had a chance to buy the mugs, sipper and coaster at the Rotary event, I love the creativity of these artists and enjoy my morning tea in them.
I am a proud member of the Advisory Council of Shaurya Trust Foundation, which is an organization that provides guidance to Intellectually Challenged children by way of therapeutic, educational and vocational means.
Prabdeep joining Shaurya Foundation has been a silver lining, bringing in a lot of satisfaction and much needed companionship for her. Her want to learn new things, do new things is very noticeable. We are very thankful to Shaurya Team for making her feel special, useful and confidant. I have witnessed an instance where she went through a temper episode – all staff rushed to help her get over the phase – the compassion, concern and support was very comforting. PROGRAMME enables SFT young adults to become commute friendly. Orientation of different modes of commuting was presented. Directions were introduced and social skills were facilitated. Efforts are being made to improve their access to public facilities and transport to make them more mobile.
SFT young adults hosted a stall for bakery and art products at the Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School at the United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goals Event supporting the UN Global Goals.
